Delegates to the Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual convention reelected by acclamation Vice President Kendell Culp of Jasper County.
Culp was first elected vice president last year to fill out the term of Randy Kron after Kron was elected president of the organization. As a result of Saturday’s election, Culp will now serve a full three-year term.
The elections came on the final day of IFB’s state convention, held Dec. 8 through 10 in Fort Wayne.
Culp farms with his wife, father, son and daughter near Rensselaer, where the family raises corn, soybeans, cattle and hogs. In addition to his role at Farm Bureau, he currently serves as president of the Jasper County Board of Commissioners and as a member of the board of directors for the Indiana Soybean Alliance.
He served as District 3 director on the Indiana Farm Bureau board for 12 years (the maximum number of years a district director can serve) and was a member of the board of Farm Credit Mid America.
INFB President Randy Kron said he was very pleased at the results of the election.
“Kendell’s done a great job. He’s passionate about Farm Bureau and cares about our members,” Kron said, “He understands the importance of the grassroots – the importance of our members.”
