(Indianapolis) – February 20, 2017 – In an effort to promote agriculture literacy throughout the state, members of the Indiana General Assembly will read a resolution proclaiming February 20-24 Indiana Agricultural Literacy Week. The resolution will be read on Tuesday, February 21 at approximately 1:30 p.m. starting in the Senate chambers.
Who: Senators Dennis Kruse, Jeff Raatz, Eddie Melton, Mark Stoops, Sue Glick and Jean Leising; Representatives Tony Cook, Melanie Wright, Terry Goodin, Don Lehe, Jeff Thompson and Bob Cherry; and members of the Indiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and coordinators of the INFB Ag in the Classroom program
What: Reading of concurrent resolution naming February 20-24 Indiana Agricultural Literacy Week
When: Tuesday, February 21, approximately 1:30 p.m.

Why: Agricultural Literacy Week is an awareness and education campaign led by Indiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee through its Ag in the Classroom program to increase Hoosier’s understanding of the value of farming and agriculture.
