The 2021 Indiana Farm Bureau Book of the Year is “Tales of the Dairy Godmother: Chuck’s Ice Cream Wish,” written by Viola Butler with art by Ward Jenkins. The annual Book of the Year is a part of INFB’s Agriculture in the Classroom program.

INFB’s annual Thanksgiving market basket survey shows that Hoosier shoppers who opt for the traditional Thanksgiving meal this year can expect to spend approximately 12% more at the grocery store than in 2019.

Indiana Farm Bureau’s public policy team will host a webinar about price risk management on Sept. 9, 2020 from 8-9:30 a.m. The webinar, open to INFB members only, will feature an ag economy update from the American Farm Bureau Federation followed by a presentation from StoneX (formerly INTL FCStone).

Registration is now open for Indiana Farm Bureau’s annual Drainage School. To ensure the safety of attendees, this year’s event will be hosted virtually, via the online video conference platform, Zoom. Farmers, public officials, agency personnel and attorneys are encouraged to attend, August 26 from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Finalists have been selected for Indiana Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer awards – the Excellence in Agriculture Award and the Achievement Award. These state awards are conducted as a part of the American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers and Ranchers Award competition.

Indiana Farm Bureau welcomed Patrick Williams to its staff as Health Plans manager. In this new role, Williams will oversee the launch of INFB’s forthcoming Health Plans, including development and training, and execution of the plans once available.
